Caledonia knew they need to be disciplined to win this game. Louisville knew that they needed to be more disciplined to win. Louisville won the game tonight 35-14.
Caledonia would strike first with a quick touchdown after a blocked punt. The Louisville fans were nervous and their crowd was silent. It seemed for a while that that last year would repeat again. Louisville’s offense said NO SIR. Louisville responded quick and the score was 7-7 going into the second quarter. Key Jackson was having a good time out there completing passes. He is a senior that had to step in and play quarterback this season. He has been doing a great job. With him at quarterback Louisville has a lot more experience. It works well for them.
Louisville came out and struck again with another touchdown by Jackson. He was on fire tonight and was doing everything he could to help his team win. His passes were on point and he was all over the field running the ball. Caledonia couldn’t get anything going with their wing t style offense. Gabriel Moore Gabriel Moore 6'4" | 245 lbs | DL Louisville | 2023 State MS and Nigal Anderson were manning their defensive line tonight. These guys were unstoppable and couldn’t be blocked. It was a long night for the Caledonia offensive line.
“One thing about us, we don’t do a lot of talking,” said Jackson. “We just play ball.”
That’s exactly what Louisville did tonight they showed up and played a great game all night.
Jackson would hit Swahili Earby right before halftime and he managed to get both feet in for a Wildcat touchdown. The score was now 21-7 in Louisville’s favor.
Coming back from halftime the Wildcats still were not missing a beat. The Cats found themselves in the redzone and we all know what they like to do in the endzone. It was the jumbo package that brought Kendon Sanders Kendon Sanders 5'9" | 200 lbs | LB Louisville | 2024 State MS in at running. They also bring in Moore and Anderson in for more reinforcement. It works every time. These guys are some studs and when they get a chance to open some holes on offense that’s what they do. The score was now 28-7.
Caledonia wouldn’t give in fast. They scored again with a good play on 4th & 10. It was a quick pass that resulted in six points. The score was not 28-14.
After a long easy drive down the field the Wildcats would score again. This time Key Jackson snuck it in for another six points.
Next week Louisville hosts Houston at home for the North Half. This game is going to be a good one, but we don’t know. Houston has been scary this season.
