Ringer did what he does best on Friday. Carry the rock and score TDs. Sometimes, guys on the field are just simply better than everyone else and that’s just the case here. Ringer is someone we think highly of, and for good reason. Yesterday he single handily crushed New Prairie as they had no answer for him. He scored 4 TDs on the evening. His first was from 31-yards out and breezed right down the field. He had a 15-yard run where he was able to drag the pile the entire run and that alone was arguably the most impressive run of the day. But, having 4 TDs all in different fashions is hard to beat and Ringer was that dude when it mattered most.

Eli Aston – East Central – RB/DB/KR – 5’11” 170lbs – 2023
Aston had as good of a game as anyone and deserves all the love. Offense, defense, and Special Teams is where you could have seen Aston light it up yesterday. Aston broke off the first score of the game with a long TD run. He broke a tackle, got the corner, and was gone. He also had a blocked punt which gave East Central the ball on a short field where they then scored off the turnover. He was used in the slot from time to time as well and had a few impressive catches over the middle. One was an awesome grab over the middle to convert a long 4th down. Aston picked a great day to ball out like he did and was the other big reason for East Central blowing out New Prairie.

Carson Koelling – East Central – DB – 6’0″ 175lbs – 2023
Koelling was really good, and consistent, on Friday. He’s a versatile DB who is able to do a few different things depending on what he’s asked to do. He’s physical enough to come play in the box like a LB and athletic enough to stay in the backend and play DB and have a ton of success. That’s where he made his impact on Friday. He deflected and broke up a few passes on the day, including 1 that was a house call if he doesn’t get his fingers on that ball. Koelling and that defense suffocated New Prairie all day and it started with not allowing any passing success. They dominated the LOS and had guys like Koelling shutting down the WRs on the outside.
