It's offer season in the Lone Star State - which means that, over the next couple of months, I will be highlighting some talented uncommitted and under-the-radar prospects around the state. There are sure to be some surprisingly unsung players still looking for the right college home, and we will certainly shine a spotlight and do our best to make sure talented players get the recruiting exposure they deserve.

In this second installment of this series, we stay in the Houston area to highlight another handful of playmakers that you need to know about.

QB PJ Hatter - 6'2" 190 - Spring Westfield / @PrestonHatter2

Senior Stats (so far): 3,257 yards and 52 touchdowns. 66% completion.

The signal-caller for the state's #1 scoring offense, Hatter is one of the best quarterbacks in the state. He has the numbers to back it up, too. A true dual-threat quarterback with a cannon for an arm, he shows on film all the traits coaches are looking for at the position - accuracy, poise, big play ability, and most importantly, leadership. After racking up 509 yards and eight touchdowns through the first two rounds of the playoffs, he will lead his team into the Regional round versus Waxahachie this Saturday at 2pm in Hutto.

Can't miss Division 1 talent.

WR Dajohn Palomo - 5'10" 175 - Spring Westfield / @DajohnPalomo4

Senior Stats (so far): 1,411 all-purpose yards and 17 touchdowns. 22 yards per reception.

Hatter's go-to receiver in the Mustangs' high-powered attack, Palomo is a spark plug in the slot. Opposing cornerbacks line up about seven yards off, and for good reason. He's dangerous coming off the line, with off-the-charts acceleration and incredibly blow-by ability. Don't let the size fool you. He produces at a high level, against the best competition in the state.

Division 1 talent.

DB Travian Flanigan - 5'10" 175 - Spring Westfield / @FlaniganTravian

Flanigan is a physical corner who excels in man coverage. Fluid hips enable him to turn and run downfield with anyone, and above-average ball skills flash on tape. Another thing that sticks out about him is his big hit ability when coming downhill in run support. He is a prospect with the potential to become a starter at the Division 2 level.

Currently has no offers.

S Kameron Phoenix - 6'1" 170 - Atascocita / @KameronPhoenix

Since transferring to Atascocita this season, Phoenix is firmly established as one of the hardest-hitting safeties in the area. Against the pass, he reads quarterbacks like a book and consistently jumps routes with ease. Surprisingly little recruiting attention thus far, but things should start to heat up in the months leading up to signing day.
