This past weekend the RIIL Semi-final tournament playoffs were held. The recruits below had leadership performances on full display. Eddie Buehler Eddie Buehler 6’3″ | QB Phillips Exeter Academy | 2024 State NewE is positioned at QB for his team. This past weekend he completed 19 passes in 31 attempts for 300 yards total and 2 td’s to lead his team to victory. Currently holds offer from St Anselm College with many D1 programs showing interest.
*Has very good command presence.
*Has quick release
*Throws with good velocity and accuracy.
Highlights
Andrew Ciarniello Andrew Ciarniello 5’10” | 175 lbs | ATH North Kingstown H.S. RI. | 2023 NewE is defined as an athlete for his team. This past weekend, he had 11 catches for 122 yards and two scores to go with a rushing touchdown. His leadership performance was impressive despite the loss his team suffered.
He is quick, shifty and athletic.
Plays with a motor
Has good hands and looks for the Yac each time he posses the ball.
Michael Dasilva is positioned as a wide receiver for his team. This past weekend he had a 28-yard touchdown catch at the end of the first half that gave his team a halftime lead then opened the second with a 49-yarder that changed the game momentum. He is only a sophomore and will be a recruit to watch the next two years.
*Runs routs that allow him to get seperation.
*High tops the ball when targeted.
*Has very good body control and balance.
*Quick and elusive in open field.
Jamezell Lassiter Jamezell Lassiter 5’8″ | 190 lbs | RB Deerfield Academy | 2024 State NewE is positioned at RB for his team. Identified as the best RB in Rhode Island coming out of the 2023 class. The senior had big gains on the ground that helped open up his teams passing game. Lassiter carried the ball 33 times for 185 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead his team to victory. A sure-fire D1 recruit who has D1 offers and will likely get more college interest after a great senior year that he has accomplished.
*He is strong and fast
*Has a very good burst
*A durable runner who finishes runs.
Highlights
Neal Tulson is positioned at QB for his team. This past weekend the senior quarterback was a leader in his teams ground game, rushing 30 times for 134 yards while scoring each of Portsmouth’s TDs on runs of 6, 7 and 12 yards that lead his team to victory and onto the states semi-finals next weekend.
*Seen as a wildcat QB
*Gets upfield quickly and runs with a physical presence to finish the run.
*He does well with RPO and uses good vision to get into running lanes.
