Born and raised in the suburbs of New York City, Mike Bey has called the sunflower state home on and off for the last decade. A lifelong football fan, Mike discovered his passion for football scouting when he joined the Scouting Academy in December, 2016. In 2017, he was a Football Video Scout for Sports Info Solutions. In 2018-2019, he was a Player Personnel Scout for the Carolina Cobras of the National Arena League where he was responsible for scouting college players in KS, NE, MO and OK. Since October, 2019, he has been an analyst for tracking football. He also currently assists with research and operations for the Scouting Academy. Mike holds a BA in History from SUNY Binghamton, an MBA from the University of Houston-Victoria, a M.S. in Sport Management from Southern New Hampshire University and graduate level certificates in Executive Leadership and Athletic Administration from Cornell University and SNHU respectively. While in graduate school, he completed 75 credits and the 2 certificates in 18 months while battling severe Crohn's Disease and working. Today, he has made a full recovery and brings the same drive and work ethic to his football jobs that he did to his work in graduate school. He enjoys inspiring and motivating others and his motto is "when you want something bad enough, it is incredible how far you can push yourself".
